like what happened to “women are capable of doing everything men can do”. If this statement is true the reverse is also true. It doesn’t mean they necessarily do but they could. Thats like THE feminist statement in my mind its the most important one and radfems are actively rejecting it. There is nothing but superficial differences between us!!! “Men” and “women” are fictions used to organize society and power in a specific way they’re not essential truths. We can go from one to the other freely and easily because we are essentially the same. The massive gulf between us in modern society is political, its not in anyway concrete, essential or biological.
this is exactly why trans men are dismissed by terfs and fundies alike as confused and corrupted little girls: we are living proof that the great high impenetrable fortress of masculinity is as porous as a coral reef. it doesn’t need to be appeased or assailed because actually you can just go there and touch all the stuff and hang out and play with the bits and leave again if you like. we must be crazy! we CANNOT be accurate reporters of our own lives.

terfs and incels alike will try to convince you that men and women are so biologically different as to be practically different species, but that simply isn’t true. compared to other species, the sexual dimorphism in human beings is so mild as to be almost completely outweighed by individual variation. we are more alike than we are different, and focusing reductively on the differences will lead you to disregard 95% of the human being
Going back to something OP said about how this goes both ways - this means men are also just as capable as women of being caregivers! Just as capable as women to have empathy and kindness and gentleness! A man can be a preschool teacher and a nurse and a secretary!
I genuinely cannot believe we have to have this conversation in 2023! I learned this from feminism in the 1990’s!!!!
